I love low tides as they give you a glimpse of underwater life but only for a short time before the land is blanketed again with water. This very low tide at Crystal Cove in Southern California is one of my favorites because you get to see the kelp as it lays softly upon the rocks, it is not always viewable in my experience and you have to have some good timing to get the low tide to match the sunset timing. The water was warm that day and I waded in about a foot of water to get the image I was looking for and I am quite happy with how it came out. Single image capture using Lee Filter .9 NDG and the shot was processed in LR5.
