The trailhead to Iron Mountain just outside of San Diego is lined with trees to begin the hike. I have been to this location many times and have been trying to get there for some fog. I got up early and setup my tripod in the middle of the trailhead and setup for a panoramic shot. Since this is a public place I had to wait quite a bit for people to clear the trailhead before I got my shots. I combined the images using merge to pano in Photoshop and did a little dodge and burn as well as sharpening all within Lightroom 4. With the new technology in todays DSLR's you can really get a lot of the shadows back which I did here. The white in the background is not overexposure but it is indeed some fog. I love the resolution of the final image and it is close to what I am trying to accomplish at this location but the fog was just not as prominent in the photo as I hoped. I will have to come back at a later time to create the image I am looking for.
